Clean Up Australia

Clean Up Australia (CUA) is a not-for-profit Australian environmental conservation organisation founded by Ian Kiernan AO in 1989. Clean Up Australia inspires and galvanises communities to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment. It fosters relationships between communities, business and government to reduce the environmental impacts of waste through efficient and effective resource recovery.

CUA is behind Clean Up Australia Day, as well as other environmental projects and campaigns. 18.3 million+ Australians have donated their time as part of CUA activities over the last 30 years. 390,000 + ute loads of rubbish have been removed as part of CUA activities. Now working further up the supply chain, CUA has evolved into an organisation that works with community, government and businesses to provide practical solutions to help us all live more sustainably every day of the year.

Whether you're an individual, community group, business or school, there's plenty of ways to be involved with CUA. Volunteer at a clean up or host your own fun team-building activity. You can also donate and support our programs addressing Australia's waste challenges. How will you Step Up to Clean Up?
