Crema Joe

Launched in 2014 by husband and wife team Kayla and Piers Mossuto, Crema Joe specialises in planet-friendly reusable coffee pods for Nespresso, Aldi K-fee, Dolce Gusto, Vertuo, Caffitaly, Expressi and Lavazza coffee capsule machines.

Their range of innovative, ethically produced, premium quality products allow coffee lovers to do good, and produce a great brew! Determined to tread more lightly on the planet, Crema Joe are also committed to a responsible supply chain, believing that a sustainable product should respect the earth at every stage, from manufacturing to transportation, with minimal environmental impact.

As part of their commitment to operate their business responsibly from top to bottom, they run a Packaging Reuse Program, creating a circular economy together with local businesses and individuals, collecting and reusing used packaging materials (such as boxes and packing peanuts). With the aim of further helping their local community recycle and repurpose their plastic waste, more recently the sustainably-minded couple also established a new initiative - their plastic recycling micro-factory, Precious Plastic Melbourne.

It’s estimated that 6 million+ coffee capsules are consumed in Australia daily (45,896,676 cubic feet yearly), with the majority ending up in places like landfill and our oceans. Reusing is far more sustainable than recycling, and of course, landfilling. Per use, our reusable pods divert around 43g of GHG from entering our atmosphere. With this in mind, to further expand on our commitment to our 'reuse' ethos, we've also started manufacturing a range of products made entirely from plastic waste through our onsite plastic recycling workspace.
